Janet is a creative young woman who only needed a little capital to turn her business dreams into a reality. With skills in hair dressing and tailoring Janet felt that she could develop the two very different businesses in one location. She believed that if customers came to one business they would also be attracted to the other. Janet discovered that Rescue Fellowship (PEER Servants' partner in Nigeria) was offering business training and loan capital to empower people like her who had great potential and big dreams. She received a loan from Rescue Fellowship and opened her hair salon and tailoring shop near the university campus which provided a large customer base for both services. She named the business Velvet Touch and trained apprentices. The business has grown steadily. Janet now employs tailors and hair dressers who are so capable that Janet can concentrate on customer relationships and business management. Janet is an example of what talented young people can accomplish when they are empowered to pursue their God-given dreams. Did you know:
