Exploring Education Partnerships in Guatemala

Potter’s House, our Guatemalan partner, is one of the leading partners in the area of education. As PEER Servants expands our partnerships beyond microfinance, education is one of the key areas in which we are being asked by many of our partners to focus. A team of six PEER volunteers, including Viki Deardorff (PEER Servants Co-Director for Education Programs), went to Guatemala in March 2019 to see what Potter’s House was doing in the education area and listen to ways they would like us to more closely partner with them. We returned very impressed with their work, especially their partnerships with public schools in Chiquimula. If you are passionate about education and the role it can play in extending more of the kingdom of heaven to earth and would like to be part of a global peer education group, reach out to us at serve@peerservants.org to explore volunteering with us!
