“Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.” Mark 4:20 (NIV)
Jesus describes four types of people in this parable from Mark 4. The first three have little impact in extending the kingdom of heaven to earth. They are caught up in themselves in one way or the other. It’s not for us to know what percentage of people are in those first three groups, but safe to say, a majority in our world and probably even in our churches. Not you. You have been seized by Jesus to be in the fourth group – a hundredfold crop producer that will be one more way you become more than a conqueror. You not only hear the inspiring (but life-changing!) words of Jesus, you accept them, and you put them into practice, even at great personal cost. His words call you to give up your life so that you can gain it. His words call you to be so other-centered that you will be one of the few who produce a hundredfold crop.
Jesus has seized you to be a hundredfold crop producer!
