Celebrating the Global Impact of PEER Teens
They are young people changing the world for the better. Bringing hope into prisons and hospitals, sharing good news with schoolmates, neighbors, and refugees – acting locally and partnering globally to encourage each other in Asia, Africa, and the Americas – even here in Boston!
PEER Teens started five years ago with six young people in northern Uganda. Today it has eight global affiliates with hundreds of young people who are doing more than just praying “your kingdom come”- they’re becoming the means through which their prayers are being answered!
What better way to spend the last weekend before school starts than to gather people of ALL ages to celebrate this global impact of the young people in PEER Teens! Combine it with our going-away party for Jephtha Malelah, the Co-Global Facilitator of PEER Teens who will be winding down his summer in Boston and returning to Kenya, and the PEER Teens Celebration/Jephtha Farewell Party is the place to be this Saturday, August 31, 7-9 pm, at Revive Community Church (111 Terrace Hall Avenue, Burlington, MA).
Join us for an evening of savory snacks and desserts, stories of Teen impact from around the globe, and Jephtha doing his last poetry reading of the summer. You will have the opportunity to support and encourage the young people through a basket offering, 100% of which will fund PEER Teens. The first 50 gifts of $100+ will receive a very special gift from PEER Teens. If you can’t join us or prefer to give online, please click here.
Thanks so much for your encouragement of these young people who are really making a positive difference in our world!
