All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19 (NIV)
Jesus, through his death and resurrection, put us back in friendship with God. That’s why we say that it is a gift that comes from God. As Paul says in verse 17 of this same chapter: In Christ, you are a new creation. Therefore, our question is: Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that, because of His love, He died for you to be at peace with Him? If not yet, this could be a good time to talk with God and express your desire to return in friendship with Him. If you want to understand more of what Jesus did for you, read the book of John in the New Testament.
And if your case is that you already have Jesus as Savior and Lord of your life, you and I have this wonderful message that requires us to share it: “God was in Christ, reconciling people with himself, not taking our sin into account. He died for all and gave us the opportunity to be new people in Christ and return in friendship with God”. We encourage you to make a list of one to five people with whom you could share this reconciliation message. Pray for them, ask God for an opportune moment to clearly share with them the message of reconciliation. If anyone decides to follow Jesus, we encourage you to help him/her grow in his/her relationship with Jesus.
You are seized to be a Reconciler!
