Sri Lanka experienced a 25 plus year civil war that kept many families from being able to provide education to their children. While the war has ended, the impact on many families will be felt for years to come. YGro, PEER Servants’ Sri Lankan partner, is committed to walking with some of the most vulnerable and at-risk families to ensure that their children receive a quality education.
Please join PEER Servants as we partner with YGro on #GivingTuesday to provide much needed school supplies and uniforms for materially poor students who are aspiring to learn and change their future trajectory to bring hope to their families and communities.
For each $20 donation, a child will receive a backpack, pencils, pens, paper, notebooks, ruler, shoes, and funds to sew their uniform with material that the government has provided. There are 100 children in Jaffna and Batticaloa, Sri Lanka that will start school in January 2020, and we would like to help them begin school with everything that they need.
