Seized to Be One Who Glories in Our Sufferings
Roma 5:3-4
Short Reflection – Tagalog (see below for English)
Pagpalain tayong lahat!
Key Verse – English
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Romans 5:3-4 (NIV)
Short Reflection – English
Sometimes we have many things that are trials, or often our faith is tested by circumstances in our life – for example financial shortage, family problems, broken relationships and other things we can consider as trials.
An example recorded in the Bible is that of Job who endured the pain and the death of his family. I was amazed at him because after all he did not forget that God wanted something to happen to him to measure his faith. He didn’t even listen to those who told him that he would reject God because of his situation, but instead showed that he respected and loved God.
These verses say that we should rejoice in the difficulties or trials we are experiencing today because they will help us to draw closer to God, to pray and to seek guidance. (Romans 5:3). In addition, it also helps us to become better citizens of God. So, brothers and sisters, you should not be disappointed or disappointed in God if you experience difficult things. That will help you to grow in faith and not to listen to what others are saying but to stand firm in your faith because in the end we all know that we will be rewarded by our perseverance. God bless us all!
Jesus has seized you to be one who glories in your sufferings!
