The Path to Perfect Peace – Establish A Peaceful Foundation: Established Peace
Key Verse
Lord, you establish peace for us;
all that we have accomplished you have done for us.
Isaiah 26:12 (NIV)
Short Reflection
This verse does not only refer to peace, but also to success, and to the unrelenting heavenly favor that the Children of Israel by then or followers of Christ today will enjoy when they restore their relationship with their Creator. After many chapters of judgement in which Prophet Isaiah declared God’s severe judgements on Israel and other nations, chapter 26 comes with celebration of the future in which the nation of Israel chants a song of praise to the Lord for His promised kingdom where a repentant, redeemed and restored Israel is reestablished as God’s righteous nation.
Therefore, as followers of Christ, we should learn from this verse and chapter that God is the true author of peace and that when we restore our relationship with Him, it opens doors for everlasting peace and blessings in our lives. Even if we stray away from the path of righteousness, we should be reminded that God is always ready to welcome us back and recreate a wonderful relationship with us. All we need is a repentant heart that will open for us the door to the divine peace and prosperity that the children of God are entitled to.
In conclusion, Prophet Isaiah hereby reminds you through this verse to rebuild your relationship with your Creator in order to establish true peace in your life.
