We’re super excited that the first steps in our weeklong Walk for Global Empowerment have been taken, and that they have been taken by youth in Burundi and Uganda! The PEER Teens affiliates in Bujumbura (Burundi) and Arua (Uganda) led us off. By the time the week is over, we will have had more than a dozen other walks, with walkers from Australia to Zambia. Our goal is to raise $150,000+ through crowdfunding, and 100% of that will go to microfinance, education, youth empowerment, healthcare, and food security programs empowering the materially poor. If we can reach that goal, we will have raised $1 million through the Walk since it started in 2006. Please click here to join us in this initiative. Thanks!
