The Path to Perfect Peace – Persevere Under Pressure: God and His Word

Key Verse

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33 (NIV)

Short Reflection

When we are under tremendous pressure and overwhelmed with stress and anxiety, it may seem humanly impossible to have peace. Yet, we need peace in our hearts in order to persevere and move forward in the face of difficulties and challenges. I have been in this place a number of times in my life. I often think of how different my life would be if I do not have God and His Word as my anchor and guidepost.

God’s Word gives us wisdom to look at our situation through His lens and reminds us that He is in control. What we need to do is to trust Him and take heart that He will give us the strength to go through any situation. Having this faith in God will bring us supernatural peace that only He can give. With this peace in our hearts and strength from the Lord, we can carry on and persevere.

Brothers and sisters-in-Christ, a difficult season may seem insurmountable and even unbearable, but take heart that God has promised us that He has overcome the world and He gives us victory over any situation, if we believe in Him. I encourage all of us to keep reading God’s promises and anchor our faith in Him as He is the only one who can truly help us persevere through the very toughest of times.

Praise God for who He is and what He can do in our lives!
