The Path to Perfect Peace – Convey His Peace: Beautiful Feet

Key Verse

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Isaiah 52:7 (NIV)

Short Reflection

How beautiful are your feet? I hope yours are more beautiful than mine! Mine are so bad that I rarely wear any open-toe sandal. For some reason, God chose to give me ugly feet!

Fortunately (for me!), Isaiah wasn’t thinking about physical feet in this Key Verse. He was referring to the feet of those who brings good news, peace, good tidings, and salvation. He was referring to the person who reminds us that God reigns.

One thing I think we can all agree on is that the world is longing for peace, and it seems to be very elusive. One step in the right direction (no pun intended) is to be that one who has beautiful feet and convey peace to others. Instead of intentionally choosing to disagree or try to show why someone else is wrong, why don’t you convey good news, encouragement, and a gentle reminder that God reigns. You will become one who speaks welcomed words rather than words that others fear. In so doing, your feet – even if they are as ugly as mine – will become beautiful feet.

Let me start. Do you want some good news today? How’s this? God loves you with a greater love than you have ever known, and He REALLY wants you to experience peace. Once you experience His peace, you won’t be able to stop conveying His peace to others.

This is the first in the “Convey His Peace” series of blog posts on our Path to Perfect Peace.
