The Path to Perfect Peace – Exalt the Prince of Peace: No End

Key Verse

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Short Reflection

We have come to the last letter in our 12-letter PERFECT PEACE acronym, our fourth and last “E” – “Exalt the Prince of Peace”. What a great place to end this year-long Path to Perfect Peace!

This year has taught us how passionate God is that we experience peace. He even went so far to have Isaiah refer to His Son as “The Prince of Peace”. The Christmas story is filled with messengers and messages of peace amidst what was anything but peaceful times or circumstances.

The peace that The Prince of Peace came to give to us wasn’t the short-term variety. It would last His lifetime, beyond His lifetime. In fact, there would be no end to His peace. The peace He came to give is available to us today. Are you experiencing it?

If you’re not experiencing that peace, I invite you to set your sights on, your thoughts on, and your trust in The Prince of Peace. Exalt Jesus. Hold Him up high. Doing so will not only allow you to experience peace in the midst of your current circumstances, it will allow you to join Jesus in extending peace to others. He invites you to join Him in making certain there will be no end to the peace only He can offer.
