Loving More Like Jesus Christ
This year demands a love that is both relentless and renewable. To meet it, we must shift our source. We cannot love like Jesus Christ from a hollow heart; we must learn to love from a divine overflow.
Jesus modeled this perfectly. Before healing the sick or teaching the crowds, He retreated to be with the Father (Luke 5:16). His limitless compassion flowed from an uninterrupted connection. He declared, “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them” (John 7:38). This is the promise for us: not a drip from our own striving, but a flood from His Spirit within.
Our 2026 calling is to become channels of this river. It begins at the source. Not in doing more, but in receiving first. “We love because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19). Saturate your soul in that truth. Through prayer, Scripture, and stillness, let His grace fill you to capacity.
From that abundance, love becomes your supernatural reflex. It will be patient with colleagues, generous with strangers, and forgiving toward family—not by your exhausting effort, but by His effortless flow. This year, let your primary work be to abide in the Vine (John 15:5). Tend to the inflow, and watch as an undeniable, Christ-like love becomes your natural outflow to a thirsty world.
