The Cross: A Bridge Built of Love
Easter reminds us that the cross wasn’t just an event of suffering, but the purest heartbeat of grace. We often focus on the physical weight of the sacrifice, yet the true power lay in His heart. It wasn’t the nails that held Jesus on the cross. It was love. This selfless embrace of our brokenness ensures we never have to walk through life’s shadows alone.
In our pursuit of security, this season serves as a powerful wake-up call for the soul. We are reminded of which things to tag as the most important. Is it our bank account? properties? title? fame? These temporal things fade, but the Love of Jesus offers a weightless peace that remains when everything else is stripped away. It invites us to redefine our riches and trade earthly status for eternal purpose.
True victory was found in the one thing that Jesus surrendered at His very last breath on the Cross: “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” In that moment, Jesus wholeheartedly entrusted his life to God, indicating completion of his sacrificial mission. If we can learn to trust Him with our lives as He trusted the Father, we find a freedom far greater than any worldly possession.
Easter isn’t just a historical event; it’s a daily invitation to let go and lean into a love that never fails.🤍
