Cause 01 – Special Project Grant
Peru Center for Development and Sustainability

For over 25 years, our Peruvian partner, Kallarisunchis, has operated out of rented office space. The number of programs they offer and the number of people they serve has significantly increased, and there is a current attractive opportunity to purchase land. In the days ahead, they will build their office – The Center for Development and Sustainability – but it will operate than much more than an office. The Center will be managed by Kallarisunchis and generate learning, employment, and income opportunities for older adults, rural women, children, and their families, progressively contributing to the financial sustainability of the programs the institution carries out with these vulnerable indigenous groups. Additionally, it will serve as a space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences with universities, volunteers, tourists, churches, and other organizations interested in community development. This Special Project Grant is a first step to help purchase the land.

Kallarisunchis anticipates needing $60,000 to purchase the land. They already have $20,000. This Special Project Grant would raise the next $20,000, and that $20,000 will be matched up to $20,000 to provide the remaining $40,000 needed. To give securely online, click “Donate Now”.
