Uganda - Chapati Maker 1000x440

Perry, a widow, started with a $100 loan to make chapatis and mandazis for over 200 customers daily.

Northern Uganda is a beautiful part of the world, but it’s not an easy place to live. Over 75% of the population live on $2 or less per day. Christian Action for Church and Community (CAFECC) has been doing a fantastic job empowering the materially poor of Northern Uganda for over 10 years. They offer micro-loans generally starting at $100, small savings, business training, and spiritual encouragement that are leading to individual, family, and community transformation. As the clients of CAFECC are blessed, they are quick to bless their neighbors and extend a bit more of heaven into their communities, leading to CAFECC clients receiving more than their share of PEER Servants’ annual Lydia Awards recognizing the top micro-entrepreneurs. PEER Servants would like to grant at least $30,000 to CAFECC in 2016. The funds will go towards loan capital, the building of CAFECC’s first owned office, capacity building of CAFECC’s staff, and more. 100% of your donation will go to programs empowering the materially poor in Uganda. PEER Servants gets monthly program reports from CAFECC while maintaining regular calls and making generally annual visits that make certain funds sent to CAFECC are used well.
